The St. Petersburg Suite - A contemporary tribute to the history and personalities of St. Petersburg, Russia. Presented by George F. Spicka: Enjoy a sonic palette of jazz, electronic, interactive and free improvisation as one of Baltimore's master composers shares his vision of Vivat! St. Petersburg, Baltimore's celebration of 300 years of Russian art, music and culture. The intermission will be followed by a concert featuring Maryland's own sensational contemporary-post-modern-bebop jazz band, Project Natale! The event will take place at Baltimore's Creative Alliance, 413 South Conkling Street, 8pm. $10 general admission, $7 for Creative Alliance members. Info: 410-944-4234

(10-19-02) Composer Lorraine L. Whittlesey will participate at this season's first Baltimore Composer's Forum's seminar on Wednesday, October 23rd at Villa Julie College. Audio and visual excerpts from various events will be presented including the recent "Diva-Licious" concert at Center Stage, a brief overview of the "Memoria Technica" lecture at Princeton University, and a discussion re: various collaborations with Art Institutions.
